Chris Woakes’s name was not even on the sheet before the rain came down and toss was delayed after a complete 1st-day washout. Joe Root was more willing to play all-rounder Moeen Ali in place of Ben Stokes hoping that wicket might favor spinners in later part of the game. After moderate and continuous rainfall, wicket seemed to be a complete contrast of what it was before the rain. Instantly, Joe Root had to change his decision of playing Moeen Ali in place of Stokes and he included right arm seam bowling all-rounder knows as “Wizard” in the dressing room, Chris Woakes.

Favourable conditions also demand skills

36 years old English pacer James Anderson who has picked more than 500 wickets in test cricket and still going, knocked out Indian batting line up by picking up another five-wicket haul in test cricket. Legendary seamer who is known for his art of swinging the ball both ways picked his 26th fifer in test cricket yesterday.  First day of the second test was washed out and only 35.2 overs were bowled in fragmented sessions on day 2 but it was ample for English seamers to get all ten batsmen out of NO1 test team in the world.

India must stick to their normal game

After a close encounter with hosts in the first test, team India is ready to play second test of the series in Lords. The first test of series ended on day 4, with England managing to hold their nerves in a nail-biting finish. Indian bowlers did a fine job by restricting English batsmen to  287 in first innings and  180 in second, but Indian top order’s fragility did not allow them to get over the line in a low scoring game. Despite of short margin defeat, there were a couple of positives for India, Ashwin’s consistency with the ball and Virat Kohli’s brilliance with the bat in both innings. Both these two players are considered as pillars of their bowling and batting lineup.

Kohli’s ability to learn from failures making him all time great

Before start of the series between England and India, no1 test team in the world, battle between Kohli and Anderson was the most discussed thing. Considering their past record, full of Anderson’s dominance and Kohli’s mediocrity in England against the red cherry, one would have easily concluded before start of the series that Anderson will win this battle once again.

After a successful T20 series and a 2-1 loss in Odi series, India have entered in to the most difficult phase of their tour of England,a 5 match test series against England team on their home soil, Anderson waiting to hunt,who in 2014 proved to be a nightmare for Virat Kohli, the current skipper of Indian team  in all three formats,  who had a tough outing with mediocre numbers .Despite of his dream form, Virat Kohli was unable to contribute with the bat in their last test series against England in  England, and the reason was James Anderson’s swing which did not allow Virat Kohli to get his feet going even for a one mere half century during the whole test series.

Like a common man, Pakistani cricketers also cast their votes in their respective areas.Some Pakistani cricketers even uploaded their  videos on social media to request people to come out and vote for the betterment of Pakistan.
